By Car From Dublin

  • From Dublin take the M3 (Navan/Cavan Motorway) until you come Exit 9 (Navan North/Delvin).
  • At the top of the slip road turn left towards Athboy and Delvin.
  • Travel along this road and pass through the village of Rathmore (you will notice speed signs to reduce to 50km/hr).
  • After Rathmore take the third right turn (this is a big new junction with a lane for turning right).
  • After 2.5 miles, you will come to the village of Fordstown.
  • Turn left just past the shop. (There is only one left turn in Fordstown).
  • Causey is a mile down on the left hand side, you will go past Grove Gardens on the right hand side before you get to us.

From Kells

  • From Kells take the Athboy road (past the GAA pitch) and travel for 4 miles.
  • Turn right as you come into the village of Fordstown.
  • We are a mile down on the left hand side, you will go past Grove Gardens on the right hand side before you get to us.
From Mullingar
  • From Mullingar take the N52 and drive through Delvin and Clonmellon and on towards Kells. (The N52 turns right when you come into the village of Clonmellon).
  • After you leave Clonmellon travel for about 2 and a half miles and take the second right turn from the village. It is at a crossroads.
  • Follow the road and you will soon come to a T-junction.
  • Turn left and continue straight past the gates of Drewstown House for about two miles. (The road to Athboy turns right at these gates but you go straight ahead).
  • Our house is the first past the hall – a stone house on the right hand side as you go up a hill.
From Lough Crew
  • From the car park in Lough Crew take the route that descends to the main road.
  • Turn left when you reach the main road and travel for a few miles until you see a sign for Boyne Drive which points to the right.
  • Take this turn to the right (it also points towards Athboy) and continue until you come to the village of Crossakiel.
  • You will reach a T-junction at which you turn right and then take an immediate left.
  • Keep driving and you will pass through the village of Kilskyre (long yellow wall at football pitch on RHS).
  • A couple of miles past Kilskyre you will come to a large (largish) road – the N52.
  • Cross the N52 and follow the road and you will soon come to a T-junction.
  • Turn left and continue straight past the gates of Drewstown House for about two miles. (The road to Athboy turns right at these gates but you go straight ahead).
  • Our house is the first past Girley Hall and the two facing graveyards – a stone house on the right hand side – as you go up a hill.

By Public Transport

There are public buses from Dublin (Busáras – Central Bus Station) to Kells every half an hour, however you would need to take a taxi from Kells to cover the last 5 miles to the farm.

There is also a public bus service that comes from Galway and Athlone to Athboy, which is also 5 miles away and you wold need to take a local taxi to get to the farm.
