Summer Family Days
We have magical family days here at Causey Farm, every Tuesdays and Fridays in July and Aug at 2pm.
Activities
We fit as many of the following activities as we can into your time here:
- Treasure Hunt
- Trip to the Bog and optional bog jumping
- Sheepdog demonstration
- Bodhrán Workshop
- Forest Nature Walk
- Sugán (Straw) Ropemaking
- Giant Bubble-Blowing
- Milk a Cow and meet all the farm animals (Anything Old MacDonald has, we have here too!)
Dates & Times
This event will run every Tuesdays and Fridays in July and Aug at 2pm.
Price
The cost is €14 per person with under-3s free.
Family Rate of €50 for a family of 4 people. (Under 3 year olds are free.)
Optional Evening Activity
On Friday 9th July and Fri 13th August we are hosting a traditional Irish music evening at Causey Farm. If you come for the Family Programme in the afternoon, you would be very welcome to stay on for the music session at a special half-price rate. This event starts at 7.30pm and runs until 9.30.
There will be fresh farm meals available in our new Cookhouse or you are welcome to bring a picnic.
What To Wear
Generally - wear old clothes but if you intend to go bog jumping (this is EXTREMELY good fun) but everyone gets absolutely filthy! Wear your OLDEST clothes and shoes and bring a complete change of clothes and footwear (your second oldest!)
The Weather
If the weather is bad...don't worry at all - we have loads of indoor venues for activities and we have had some of our best fun here running between the showers.
