An imagination filled experience for happy children who will want to come back again and again!

We are excited to announce that Causey Ice Cream Adventure is now OPEN!

This year we have extended the adventure – an amazing new Tribute to Roald Dahl which you can see by taking a train (included in admission) through the willow wood, more challenges, potatoes to dig, new artistic pieces and extra characters to meet.

That is all along with the games, puzzles, trails, characters, giant bubbles and art installations you met last year, not to mention a scoop of delicious ice cream from the Ice Creamery. Causey Farm is a working farm which is home to cattle, sheep, ponies, pigs (and often piglets), hens, geese and a noisy gaggle of giggling geese.

We look forward to welcoming you to acres and acres of countryside freedom.

A safe and fun day out for you and your family at Causey Farm.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I arrive early?

You should try to arrive as close to your scheduled start time as you can. Please come to the entrance gate at this time. We will have staff here to make sure everyone can be checked in safely, in keeping with the social distancing.

How long does the adventure last?
The trail lasts approximately 1and a half hours but there is no rush at all, you are welcome to take your time or do the loop more than once and many people stay for two or three hours.
Should we bring wellies?
In dry weather, there is no need for wellies but Causey is a working farm so wellies are a good idea if it has been raining.
Is it all outside?
Yes the adventure is all outside but there are a few open sided sheds along the way which for shelter if it is raining.
Is it buggy friendly?
The adventure is not fully buggy friendly as this is a working farm and some of the pathways are uneven. There is one set of steps halfway along the loop but we have put in an alternative route so buggies can take a little detour to avoid the steps.
Do you offer a family rate?
We do not offer a family rate, all tickets for adults and children are €12 mid-week and €13.50 at weekends. Children aged 1 year old and under are free of charge.
My child has some dietary requirements, can these be catered for?

An Ice Cream is included along the trail, we will have a sorbet for an egg, nut and dairy free option.

Is there anywhere to eat after the adventure?
Yes, our Cow’s Lick Ice Cream Parlour and Coffee Shop will be open which will serve pizzas, crepes, bubble waffles and other delicious treats.
What to wear?
Dress for the weather!
What if it is raining?
The adventure will still go ahead regardless of the weather. If it is wet, we recommend that everyone wears rain-gear and wellies. There is nothing like jumping in puddles on a farm trail!
What is the refund policy?

Due to administration costs, a €1 per ticket booking fee is included in the price all tickets sold.

If you cancel more than seven days before your booking date we will give you a full refund. If you need to cancel less than seven days and up to 24 hours before your booking time we will offer a full credit note or a 50% refund.

Please note

Refunds under any circumstances, only apply to ticket prices and not booking fees. Booking fees are charged at the start of a transaction for services and cannot be refunded by the operator.

I tried to book 4 tickets online but it is only giving me the option of selecting one.
Because of the covid-19 guidelines, we are only restricted to the number of people we can allow through at each time. You will need to select an alternative time slot where there is availability.
Is the Ice Cream Adventure wheelchair accessible?
It’s a long trail through farm paths and fields and it’s not very even in places. There’s one set of steps also which can be avoided by taking a detour on a longer pathway which we put in this year. It is definitely possible to get around in a wheelchair but it is not an easy path. We are really sorry about that and we are continuously improving.
