Upon the recommendation from another U.S. family, we toured Ireland and saved this treat for the end of our adventure.
We weren’t disappointed! Irish soda bread baking experience, games, dancing, musical instrument lessons, and a great interaction with a great variety of farm animals. Our guide, Alex, was amazing with our children and while family. We had a great tractor ride to an authentic bog and exploration obstacle course.
This is a great add-on if you are visiting Dublin. Fun experience for family bonding and Irish culture.

We spent a day on Causey Farm with you on Wednesday, March 18th and we enjoyed it.
It was a really good day, because we learnt with you to make soda bread, to dance typical Irish dance ; fairy reel, to milk a cow, to play the Bodhrán, to play hurling and to jump in the bog. It was also amazing to sing in the wagon and to learn much more about the bog in Ireland.
Your program for that day is excellent, all our group was delighted. It was the best day of our Irish trip. We were Irish for a day, and thank you for that, and especially thank you Andy, for letting us milk your cow !

On behalf of my colleagues, I wanted to say thank you to the ‘two guys’ C & D who organized this fabulous afternoon to my group of 55 students from France!
Once back home, the kids have told us that they had spent a great time on Causey Farm, they specially enjoyed peat bog and Bodhran workshop followed by the Irish dancing.
Do carry on such adventures with the youth !

We are now back in France and I have just checked my e-mails. We want to thank you all again for this great day at Causey Farm. The children were delighted! They enjoyed every minute of it! We had a little opinion survey on the coach and just like last year “Be Irish for a day” came Number 1 in their top activities in Ireland. Thank you also so much for your kindness with Alexandre. He feels better now.
We hope to come back again.

I was part of the ladies (and some teens) group that came from the Credit Union conference last Saturday (7/31). In spite of the rain, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed the day and your farm. A friend of mine who came, too, and I are both teachers and are part of a local teacher club here in our town in Florida. We are thinking we will present a “Be Irish for a Night” at a meeting and try to duplicate your activities so we can show others what we did “on our summer vacation”. I think the ladies will enjoy making the bread! Not sure if we can replicate the dance steps, though!
Thanks so much for a wonderful experience. I have Irish roots (Antrim Coast – McCain and McGahey were family names) so I guess that is why the music, the drum, and the food resonated with me. It was part of my heritage (or at least from the 1700′s according to our family records).

On behalf of the Wolverhampton group, both staff and young people, we would like to say thank you for a wonderful day. We enjoyed the experiences that were offered on the farm and the warmth of all the staff concerned.
Once again thank you for the experience. Hopefully we will get the opportunity to return to Dublin and the farm.
