When do we need to book?
This tour books out quickly for May and June, so get in quick!
How Much Does it Cost?
It is €12 per child, and you just pay for the number of children who come on the day.
How Do We Pay?
You can pay on the day with cash or cheque. Cheques should be made out to ‘Causey Farm’.
What Should We Bring?
- Children of all ages should bring a packed lunch and drink.
- All children should wear their oldest clothes and shoes (wellies if possible). Bring a raincoat, and/or sunscreen and hat if necessary.
- Children in 1st class and older should also bring a change of clothes including shoes, a towel and plastic bag for bringing home dirty clothes.
Are you Insured?
Yes we are fully insured for all activities.
What if it Rains?
We have lots of indoor activities planned for wet weather so the day will be successful regardless of the elements. We have a large indoor picnic area.
Where is the Farm, and how long will it take for us to get there?
The farm is in County Meath, between Kells and Athboy. Most of the bus drivers will have been here before and will know the way. Directions and GPS Co-ordinates are on our website www.causey.ie under Contact Us – Directions. Now the M3 is open, the trip from Dublin is much quicker – we are about 40 mins from Blanchardstown, take the Athboy (Number 9) exit.
Do You Have a Shop?
Yes, but it is optional, and at the discretion of the teacher, just let our leaders know when you arrive whether you want the children to know about the shop or not. A suggested amount of pocket money needed is €3 – €5.
What will the teachers do on the day?
The day will be fully guided by 2 of our experienced leaders. Teachers will accompany the class for health & safety reasons, but do get a chance to sit and try our homemade scones and tea/coffee.
How Will We Know We’ll Get Back to School on Time?
That is no problem, just let your leaders know when you arrive what time you need to be back on the bus and our leaders will make sure the class gets to all the activities in the time you have, and will make sure the children have a great time.
